Hello

I've read on reddit that there is a way to force other people to levitate using parcels and trash, but I couldn't really understand how that works, and if this is even still possible, so could someone who is familiar with that explain it?

Thanks. I think I have a theory. I'll try to test it.

I have added a answer :) I checked and this method can also be used on the Wyrms in Liberty Bay. The mystery so far is if it is possible to push a player and run levitate. So far I have not been able to push a player.

With the help of my friend, I think I have figured out the mechanism of how this works. First, it is worth mentioning that the method used to force levitate on another player was used in the old days to trap bots.

To trigger this effect we will need:

  • 3 parcels
  • 6 pieces of some kind of trash, e.g. flasks
  • 3 pieces of some other trash like the gold coin
  • Trough or other item that blocks the player's movement.

The method can be used only in special places where it is possible to pass but at the same place is also a levitate spot. Such a place is, for example, at the entrance to the arena in Svargrond.

We need to set a trough in place one sqm behind the levitate spot.

We then set up parcels and trash at the levitate spot.

The way these items are set up is shown in the image below.

By arranging the items this way, only one parcel will be visible. Now you just have to wait for the victim who will walk this route using the arrows on the keyboard.

As you can see in the animated gif, the character who enters the trap prepared by us will be moved automatically one floor higher. Apparently, in the old days when bots were common in Tibia, this was a trick used to trap them. Bots did not walk on parcels but were vulnerable to such tricks.

I'm glad I could help. :) I vaguely remember a movie where someone in Veno used this technique to trap a corym botter on a roof near south-eastern Venore entrance. That was a few years ago though.
