There's lava inside the house, "Forge Master's Quarters" For all the houses that have lava inside, if I were to throw an item into the lava what would happen?

Quarter has a size of <strong>352 square meters</strong>. lava inside of it, what happens if I was wondering because there's lava in it let's say you were decorating and accidentally miss-clicked and threw your item into the lava would it throw items inside of the lava? Do the items disappear?Go on top?
