<p>after researching i found that this change was implemented on the&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&amp;id=355">major update 7.6 (2005)</a>&nbsp;which says:</p><blockquote><p><span style="background-color:#fff2db; color:#5a2800; font-family:Verdana,Arial,&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px">a number of minor adjustments have been made. For example, letters, labels and other editable items now show the name of the most recent editing character</span></p></blockquote><p>Also, in the&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&amp;id=353&amp;fbegind=1&amp;fbeginm=12&amp;fbeginy=2004&amp;fendd=18&amp;fendm=6&amp;fendy=2006&amp;flist=00100110">dec 2005 test server</a>&nbsp; (few days before the update)&nbsp;says:</p><blockquote><p><span style="background-color:#fff2db; color:#5a2800; font-family:Verdana,Arial,&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px">Additionally, on all writeable papers, such as letters and parchments, the name of the last person that changed the document is shown.</span></p></blockquote><p>so the answer is yes, since that day all writeable document show the name of the last person who change it</p>based on that, they updated both old and new documents to show properly the name of the writter (the timestamp was implemented later)</p>

hack letter

As u can see in this example of a hack letter when any writable document is modified by a player it will show up the name of who edited it and the date. if is a letter and it is sended by mail always will show up the warning message to prevent ppl about this kind of letters.
