How does life leech works work when we attack more than 1 one monster?

Hello Hello, I wonder how Life Leech works when for example by avalance rune we attack 8 monsters?

 monsters with avalanche rune?

 We get more hp than by hitting 1 monster alone but how its is it calculated?
