You can choose between Venore and Thais based on what events you plan on doing. The big ones i can think will be near those two places.

Advantages of Venore:
- Rise of Devovorga: you will most likely go for the POH boss (from level 20-40)
- Lightbearer: also POH is the safest for lower levels
(although some people would rather go for the basin in Kazz)
- Demon Lullaby: the demon mother will be on in the middle of the desert
- Bewitched: on the swamps to the north

Advantages of Thais:
* - It is still somewhat close to the 3 events mentioned earlier.
earlier except Bewitched.
- Orcsoberfest: The the portal to the event is right outside the city
- Tibia Anniversary: pinnata dragons will spawn around the city
- A Pirate's Death to Me: near the lighthouse
