<p>No, a summon does not block the spawn of creatures that can be blocked by a player. This is useful information to know in certain places. I used it while doing Deepling Master Librarian bestiary. Then I summoned a Demon Skeleton and moved him to the same SQM I was before.

Soon after (I did this during Rapid Respawn), a Deepling Master Librarian spawned and attacked my summon.
