I personally find this very hard to believe, as the ladder only appears when the tiles are being activated by a player standing on it. I think I've heard about summons being used but then again you'd need at least two people as your own summons would dissapear disappear before reaching the spot of the ladder.

I've done PoI services for years and have never heard even rumours about it being possible before. Bare in mind this is just based of my own knowledge and experience about the quest, Id love to be proven wrong!
