This is called the Curse of the Full Moon because at the beginning of the disease only on the nights of the full moon (days 12th, 13th and 14th of each month in Tibia) the infected are transformed into beasts without self-control; however, as the condition worsens, those affected lose total control of themselves forever. Because of this, many people fear the curse, and they also hate and reject these beasts. However, just as it happened with the werelions, thanks to the bravery of the inhabitants of Oskayaat, they learned to control the curse and to adopt it as a part of themselves, a duality: keeping his human sanity and spirituality, but taking the strength of the moon and animals.
