The fact that there is no publicly avaiable spoiler does not deteremine if it was already discovered or not.

Tibia is a RPG game and to be able to understand the mechanics of quests implementation, you need to see the bigger picture. They are based on old books which can be found in various libraries. And even if quests are freshly implemented, you can read about them from long time.

Let’s start from my personal research about mysterious „Flying Carpet”.

First thing that was done was obviously asking NPC Chemar about it. As we all well know, he responds that we need flying license.

So the next step was figuring out who can tell us something more about that license. For that purpose I spoke with every carpet pilot about their “job”. I was hoping that one of them might be selling pilots licences. Was that a cul-de-sac? Definately not! I received information that 3 of them are licensed carpet pilots – Chemar (Darashia), Iyad (Svargrond) and Uzon (Femor Hills)! Below you can see the inscriptions with NPCs.

Also as you can see NPC Uzon added something interesting in his response – he’s a DARASHIAN carpet pilot, based in Femor Hills. He also says that carpets indeed can be sold – only in Darashia. That makes me feel even more intrigued that flying license is a real thing. Still I had to figure out what do they have in common, who could sell such license and what I had to do in order to satisfy the license dealer?

I asked them some private questions about their family, history, siblings and finally but without the results. Finally I asked about their names. It turns out that all of them have a “Ibn” thing in their names which is very Darashian thing (the rest of pilots do not have that). What is more interesting, Chemar and Uzon seem to be brothers.

After receiving such informations I decided to dig a little bit more in Darashia, the motherland of flying carpets. Seems that Chemar and Uzon have 1 more brother in the city!

Hofech is another guy to have a flying carpet but that’s carpet. What's more interesting he is not a pilot and he is only selling furnitures under the NPC Chemar. Unfortunately he doesn't have carpets in his assortment. That’s only information I was able to get out of him.

Since I wasn’t able to find any informations what do their names mean in game, I decided to ask Uncle Google and I found something interesting.

First of all I translated the part “Ibn”

Then I proceeded to translate the “Kalith”:

And lastly I asked google about the word “Abdul”:

So our carpet owners are mostly „Sons of the Known/Appreciated/Understood” and also a “Son of the Servant/Slave”? To my mind suddenly came a thought about Daraman – we can read about him in few books. He was a former king of the whole continent of Darama, he and the Banor were the Gods’ chosens. For some time he has also been some kind of slave/servant of Djinn’s king Gabel. He’s known from his wisdom, not being attached to materialistic things. Many NPCs in Darashia describe him as their prophet and hero. But is my assumption valid? I can’t confirm that since there’s nothing mentioned in books about his family.

After being stuck in Darashia without further success I was hardly thinking which NPCs have strong links with flying (except those carpet pilots). And I immediately tought about NPC Wyda since witches are well known for flying on their brooms. First of all I decided to do some research about witches in general and find some informations about Wyda and her past. BOOOOYYYYYYA – starting with Tibia.com official witches’ description

Let’s also step back a little and ask yourself - did Wyda fly on some regular broom? Definately not. Some of you might remember the Blood Herb quest. The item itself is not a final reward, it’s just pretty house decoration. The final point of this quest is bringing it to Wyda and receiving in exchange „The Witchesbroom”. Let’s see its description.

So the flying license allows us to use not only the carpet but also brooms. And witches also need to somehow achieve license in order to fly. What a discovery! So where do carpet pilots and witches can do such? Which place connects people and witches? And also - what else can we use to fly?

During digging through the libraries I bumped into some interesting book in Jakunda Desert Library, which has recipe for magical potions of flight.

You might say that some of these items do not exist in Tibia and you will be 100% right. But as I said at the beginning you must understand how Cipsoft likes to give us players hidden tips and you should never take things literally. If you leave a little space for your personal interpretations you can deduce that such items do actually exist.

At that point I decided to visit Wyda and ask her some questions. Unfortunately I wasn’t satisfied and decided to do some research in google. I checked Wyda’s transcriptions on TibiaWiki. I attach below what is Wyda’s response about “Fly broom” but only during the Bored Witch Mini World Change.

As you can see above, she indeed HAD a flying license but it expired. This information suits very well the book in Jakunda Desert. Looks what’s written – it lasts for only 12 minutes! That gives us information that flying license is temporary and needs to be renewed at some point.

Okay, but who actually was Wyda and what’s her story? What I found were 2 books on Island of the Kings - Inquisitor's Log I & II. They include informations about Wyda running away from the Inquisitors. They wanted to slaughter her and steal her „recipe”.

But what was this recipe for? What powers do people receive after drinking it? The chasing Inquisitors lost a trail near the Fermor Hills close to Kazordoon. So what actually happened there? What trick did she use? At this point I must recall the 5th mission of Inquisition Quest. You need to visit the Witches’ Cliff on Kazordoon by flying carpet, you can only visit it once, after you’re done with mission you can never go back there again. So was the Cliff her hideout to lose the chasers? I am pretty confident about that.

Also in the same book you can find there informations that Wyda was originally living somewhere around Carlin and she was prisoned in city’s prison but managed to run away. What else, she tricked guards to think that they caught her but in fact that was some other witch. Were she living in Amazon Camp on north of Carlin? Were all witches slaughtered there by Inquisitors and that’s why only Amazons and Valkyries live there right now? Unlike to Venore Amazon Camp, where there still are Witches living alonsigde Amazons and Valkyries.

While I was thinking more about Amazons, on my mind came another thing. How many of you remember game “Warhammer 40 000” from 80s? Some of you might know that Tibia creators like to refer to some real world books, games, music and so on.

Is it possible that they did it again with Kalith family from Darashia? What would that mean? Are Chemar, Uzon and Hofech the sons of mother of all amazons? And if I'm not wrong, then Queen Elorana would be their mother?

Also how many of you have visited the Roshamuul? There’s an old Flying Carpet which will bring you to Thais Temple. Do you think that it might be also connected with flying license?

Because what do we expect The Flying License to actually be? Is it ability after drinking some potion? Maybe it’s some secret achievement we can obtain? After flying this old carpet for let’s say 1.000.000 times? So far there is no confirmed answer to that question.

Who knows, maybe the answer is closer to us than we could imagine.

These are the results of few weeks/months of my investigation. As you can see there are real basics to think that Flying License is a real thing.

Tibia still hides so many connections and mysteries that are waiting for us, players, to discover them. I wish that I could inspire some of you to follow my way of playing that game. I would be really delightful for you guys to share some tips about that topic with me.

I hope you enjoyed!

Sources:

[1] https://www.tibia.com/library/?subtopic=creatures&race=witch

[2] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Potion_of_Flight_(Book)

[3] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Inquisitor%27s_Log_I_(Book)

[4] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Inquisitor%27s_Log_II_(Book)

[5] https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Kalith

Let’s description

There’s an old Flying Carpet which will bring you to Thais Temple. Do you think that it might be also connected with flying license?

<img license?

Because style="height:340px; width:400px">

TO BE FINISHED

enjoyed!

Sources:

[1] https://www.tibia.com/library/?subtopic=creatures&race=witch

[2] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Potion_of_Flight_(Book)

[3] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Inquisitor%27s_Log_I_(Book)

[4] https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Inquisitor%27s_Log_II_(Book)

[5] https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Kalith

The fact that there is no publicly avaiable spoiler does not deteremine if it was already discovered or not.

Tibia not.

Tibia is a RPG game and to be able to understand the mechanics of quests implementation, you need to see the bigger picture. They are based on old books which can be found in various libraries. As we all well know, he responds that we need flying license.

So license.

So the next step was figuring out who can tell us something more about that license. For that purpose I spoke with every carpet pilot about their “job”. I was hoping that one of them might be selling pilots licences. Was that a cul-de-sac? Definately not! I received information that 3 of them are licensed licensed carpet pilots – Chemar (Darashia), Iyad (Svargrond) and Uzon (Femor Hills)! Below you can see the inscriptions with NPCs.

Also NPCs.

I dealer?

I asked them some private questions about their family, history, siblings and finally but without the results. The pilot license is a topic that is discussed for almost 20 years.

Hofech is another guy to have a flying carpet but that’s only information I was able to get out of him.
