Yep, No, when u walk over a field rune you Will only be hit once with its fully damage, and then you Will only lose the proporcional HP pero turn.

you step in a field rune u Will be hit by It, and even if you stay on It you Will get the damage turns. Only after the turns are complete you won't be hit again even if u are still standing on the rune.

For example, a fire field rune only hits you 20 Hp the first time you walk over It (even if u stay on It after), and then you Will be burning losing 10hp for 7 turns. After this time even if u are still step in the fire you won't lose HP again. Only way of renewing the burning is to go out and in the fire again
