Just tested it,

Hit a skunk right after ss and hidded it, and logged out the character. Waited 10 hours to log in back, and asked a friend to kill the skunk.

Conclutions: Conclusions: Yep you got experience, I guess that if you get it after 10 hours, there must be no limit.
