What is the difference between old and new orcsoberfest gingerbread? (except the name)

At the previous event I collected some heart gingerbreads, but they cost 500 points so I didn't dare eat them. Fortunately, I didn't make missclick, so all in all I still don't know if they are edible. This year a new version has been created. How do you think they differences? Anyone have any experience with this? They are 'inscribed' in the name, so you think you can write for them? maybe one can be eaten and the other can't?

In the past, the gingerbread hearts were edible. However, inscribed hearts and gingerbread hearts are both unedible now which means you cannot eat these items. The difference is the inscribed heart has a message of your choice and the player's name and the gingerbread heart doesn't have this message. Also, please note the gingerbread hearts that you decide to inscribe won't be tradeable in the market because it's personalized, however, the other gingerbread hearts that aren't inscribed are tradeable in the market.

To get a gingerbread heart you need to speak to NPC Xaver during Orcsoberfest and exchange 500 festive points by saying "hi, gingerbread hearts, buy, select a color red, green, or blue" Once you do this now you can either keep this item as it is if you just want a gingerbread heart or you can inscribe this item to make it special. So I picked a red gingerbread heart:

You see a red gingerbread heart.
It weighs 5.00 oz.

To inscribe the gingerbread heart please note you need to have already bought one and have it in your inventory. You can say "hi, gingerbread hearts, and say the color that you have in your inventory either red, green or blue", then NPC Xaver will give you choices:

Xaver: 'For my love, (NAME)', '(NAME) survived the Orcsoberfest!', 'My friend (NAME) went to the Orcsoberfest and this is all I got!' ...
18:55 Xaver: 'Happy Birthday (NAME)' or 'Greetings from Orcsoberfest, (NAME)'

Then you need to say whats bolded and the name of the character you want to be inscribed. I picked "love shawtay" so now when I look at my red gingerbread heart it changed from that to an inscribed red heart:

You see an inscribed red heart. It weighs 5.00 oz.
You read: For my love, Shawtay

It sounds like a dedication to someone. it's a nice gift for Tibian friend and couples. I like the idea with the signature. a gift for yourself is always great too :)
