Can I face the Lord of Elements without talking to the Arkulius?

I want to complete the bosstiary of the Lord of the Elements (60 kills), but this quest requires 4 players (Elemental Spheres Quest).

As I have 4 chars, one of each vocation, I'm thinking on farming the required items. For example, RP needs Natural Soils and Mother Soils. When I have enough items for the 4 vocations, I will try to find a team to kill the boss. Do they need to have talked with Arkulius or defeated their respective mini-boss? Or they can go straight to the final boss if they have their mid-boss item in hands? (which I will give them).

Has anyone tried this?

No, your team will have to get permission from Arkulius to enter their vocation's realm, use 8 soils at their designated shrine to kill at least one Fire, Energy, Earth or Ice Overlord (depending on their vocation) in order to be permitted to kill the Lord of the Elements.
