Hello,

I am wondering because I have never encountered this boss, if he ropes me, after killing him am I able to rope someone else and logout here to easier check boss next time?

No, the spawn does not allow you to log out. You can exit log there, but will remain online until serve save where you will be teleported to your home temple.
