What is the history of Welter?

I was curious when was the first Welter found?

 Does it have any history of how it was created in Tibia?

Is it connected to any legend, monsters or place?

Not really. With the Summer Update 2013 Part 2, Cipsoft implemented the current reward system for boss fights, and The Welter was also introduced in the same update with new artificial intelligence mechanics. It is obviously connected to Hydras at one of the oldest spots for Hydras' respawn (Port Hope).
