What is the best way to hunt the Isle of Ada?

Is it better to hunt the outskirts or to stay in the castle? The castle seems to have many small rooms and door ways that limit the creatures forming a box while outside I'm not sure there is a way to loop the spawn. What's the best way to hunt the Isle of Ada?
