I recently found two books with square symbols inside.

One is located in Mahatheb tomb (..tudies of the pharaoh’s dark son, Arkhotep.)

The second is the "Diary of Captain Ogden Brewboiler" (Day 13:I found out that they call themselves “chakoya”).

Yet most other books do not have these strange  “ symbols.

Why do some books have “ symbols?
