Do the event points expire from The Great Expedition world quest?

There's a world quest called The Great Expedition and you can earn points every day. Do these expire at all? Can I carry them over daily or from event to event?

According to the official news about the event, any Event Points you have earned will remain yours and can be saved for future editions of the event.

You will need to accumulate Event Points over several years to obtain the full outfit, for example.
