During the Great Expedition world quest you can participate and get event points. How many events or how long does it take to obtain the full outfit? If you could give me a rough estimate as I know it might count on success and how many points or donation you may do. :) if it's possible to include all scenarios if I donate the full 10kk or not that would be great.

Assuming that we can only earn up to 20 points per day until the event ends...

To get the full outfit, you need 910 Event Points (70 for the base outfit + 280 for the 1st addon + 560 for the 2nd addon).

If you are going to accumulate all points on one character:

If you donate 100k and vote every day, you will earn 70 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 13 editions of the event to gather the 910 points.

If you donate 1kk and vote every day, you will earn 105 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 9 editions of the event to gather the 910 points.

If you donate 10kk and vote every day, you will earn 140 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 7 editions of the event to gather the 910 points.

However, both addon items (Captain's Hat and Captain's Sabre) can be sold on the market, which leads me to believe it is possible to use items obtained by other characters. If this is indeed possible, you can farm points on two different characters to speed up the process. On the character for which you want the outfit, you would accumulate points for the outfit itself and the 1st addon (350 points), while on the other character, you would accumulate points for the 2nd addon (560 points).

Accumulating 350 points on a character:

If you donate 100k and vote every day, you will earn 70 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 5 editions of the event to gather the 350 points.

If you donate 1kk and vote every day, you will earn 105 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 4 editions of the event to gather the 350 points.

If you donate 10kk and vote every day, you will earn 140 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 3 editions of the event to gather the 350 points.

Accumulating 560 points on the other character:

If you donate 100k and vote every day, you will earn 70 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 8 editions of the event to gather the 560 points.

If you donate 1kk and vote every day, you will earn 105 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 6 editions of the event to gather the 560 points.

If you donate 10kk and vote every day, you will earn 140 Event Points per edition. You will need to participate in 4 editions of the event to gather the 560 points.

Based on the current point values, the full Captain’s Outfit costs 910 Event Points in total:

  • Base outfit: 70 points
  • Captain’s Sabre (Addon 1): 280 points
  • Captain’s Hat (Addon 2): 560 points

If you try to obtain everything on a single character, assuming the point system and prices remain unchanged in future editions:

  • 100k donation/day: 70 points per event → 13 events
  • 1kk donation/day: 105 points per event → 9 events
  • 10kk donation/day: 140 points per event → 7 events

So yes, doing everything on a single character can take quite a long time.

However, there is an important detail: while the base outfit is granted directly to the character, the two addon rewards are items. This means you can accumulate points on different characters and use each one for a specific addon.

For example, using three characters and donating 1kk/day on each:

  • Character A: Base outfit → 1 event
  • Character B: 280-point addon → 3 events
  • Character C: 560-point addon → 6 events

So instead of waiting 9 editions to accumulate 910 points on one character, you could effectively complete the full outfit within 6 editions.

With the maximum 10kk/day, the theoretical time becomes even shorter:

  • Base outfit: 1 event
  • 280-point addon: 2 events
  • 560-point addon: 4 events

So, with separate characters, the fastest route would currently be around 4 editions of the event.

Personally, I am going for a more economical approach. This year my main character will donate 10kk/day, reaching 140 points, which I intend to spend on the mount. Meanwhile, I have two separate characters donating 1kk/day, and each of them will finish this event with 105 points reserved exclusively for the outfit addons.

From then on, I plan to keep donating 1kk/day with those two characters every year:

  • Addon 1 character: 105 → 210 → 315 points in 2028, allowing me to buy the 280-point addon with 35 points left.
  • Addon 2 character: 105 → 210 → 315 → 420 → 525 → 630 points in 2031, allowing me to buy the 560-point addon with 70 points left.

My main can simply get the 70-point base outfit in a future edition, since it is comparatively cheap.

So with the strategy I am personally following, I can work on the mount and other event rewards now while still having the full Captain’s Outfit completed by 2031, without having to spend 70kk every year on each addon character.

Of course, all of these calculations assume that the event remains annual and that the point rewards, prices and point carry-over system remain unchanged in future editions. I'm also assuming that the daily gain remains limited to 10–20 points per day and that no additional Event Points are awarded during the event from day 1 through day 7. If that changes, the estimates above would obviously need to be adjusted.
