Do some of the items that you make with a Shimmer Swimmer still expire no matter where you put them?

There's an item called the Shimmer Swimmer when combined with some other items creates different items! My question is, some of these items expire after 7 days apparently (Shimmer Wand, Sword, Rod, and Bow) but do they expire no matter if ~~their~~ they're in your depot, backpack, or house? Or can you still keep them around somehow?
