How long does it take to get roped into the "man in a cave" area?

Question

As many probably know, If you stand on the right sqm while the boss or his monks are spawned you will get roped to the room with the boss, does anyone know how long you have to wait to get roped?

My record is about 30 minutes of waiting, but most often player is roped almost immediately. From my own experience I can say that walking on certain SQM from time to time helps in being roped up.

I say you wait 30min to be roped, but you were sure that the boss was there? If yes how can we knoe that the boss is there?

You can "hear" the boss while standing on the rope spot. Man in the Cave is shouting something like "THE MONKS ARE MINE!" etc.
