How to create an immovable bar or counter at a house for a shop?

I've seen some people put a bed and logout a character on it on their door so they can block the entrance and create a shop-like house.

I was wondering if there's another way to make this, put a bar no one could move.

Hi, the only way I know of doing this without the beds trick is to play with the space of your house, ofc you need to have enough of store items that you can't stack or put anything on top of them (regular items won't work since you can pick them up, break them, move them outside the house, etc) and store NPCs. Let's say you will use plants, then you wanna ocupy all the sqms available around the area where people would have access with these items and the rest with npcs so ppl can walk in and stack with the NPCs, that way there will be no free sqms to move stuff around and unblock the house, since you can't move the NPCs or move anything of the mentioned items bellow the NPCs. I've seen it done before, and I've done it myself too, but it is utterly tricky and risky, the safest way is still the beds with ppl on it trick.
