How to go up a ladder with a Hireling NPC on top of it?

Question

A friend placed his hireling on the ladder of his house, so now I can´t use it to go upstairs. Is there a way that the "use" action gives priority to the stairs and not to the hireling?

Try right click browse field on the NPC/ladder's tile. I think it should open a new box of items/objects on that tile.
