Why does everyone pvp in the citizen outfit?

Lately I've seen in streams most people pk with citizen outfit on. Is there any speed, fps or visual benefits to it?

I'd say it's only about nostalgy, there is no difference regarding the output damage, the success of PKing (player-killings) or any other qualitative matter regarding the battle.
