Has this ever been done in the history of Tibia and world merges? I know a green BattlEye symbol means protected when the server was created, but yellow means after the server was created.

I can't find a source but I am pretty sure it was mentioned before that these world types would never be merged. It wouldn't make any sense.

Tibia has changed when the b.e. was added to the game. The green servers are 'cheaters-free', thats the theory, and the yellow ones were full of botters. If you look the highscores (skills mainly) you can see that the yellow ones have far more skills than green ones, because the characters in green were created after the b.e. so theres no point to mix  the green recent created guys with the yellow old botters. All the merges are done according to the B.E. and PvP restriction.

If you will be following logic of the character transfer, as in- you will be able to transfer to Yellow BE from Green BE, but once it is done, you will not be able to go back to Green BE. It is to secure “purity” of the Green Eye. Consequently, worlds with Yellow and Green Battle will not be merged. It would be not only by unfair for players who opt Green BE, but also, destroy and whole concept of the Character World transfers as also Green BattleEye.
