Do deleted characters get removed from House invitation lists?

Question

Let's say if a friend of yours eventually gets deleted, does he get removed from House invites? The reason I ask if what if someone creates another character after he gets deleted with that same name?

As far as I remember after deleting some of my old characters, the name remains on the list. For this reason it is pretty important to remove any names that are not actively in use.

I seem to recall this happening to me around two or three months ago, but I would rather players be safe than sorry. Once servers are back online I will add a character to one of my houses and delete it to check the current situation more thoroughly.
