Is skilling on Modified Gnarlhounds with Soultainter worth it?

I'm thinking about if it might be worth semi afk skilling on Modified Gnarlhounds with Soultainter.

Since the Modified Gnarlhounds are immune to Death Damage, I think that I should be able to train Magic Level for free without even damaging the Gnarlhounds.

Yes, all mana consumed via shooting with a wand (or rod) counts towards your magic level progress.

Though it is possible I don't think I would consider it "worth it". You can sit in a PZ with double regen and make more advancement towards your magic level as well as a profit by making runes.

It is possible, since you're spending your mana, but I'd say it would be more worth if you spend your mana using it to rune, since you'll gain the item together getting the ml up
