I wonder how Ferumbras Mortal Shell's healing works.

Is it random or is it life drain from beam, wave etc.?

Or based on something else that I'm not awared of, like being healed by Rift Fragments for example.

In my experience it is random, but I'll pay more attention to know it for sure
