Is ping high when playing from Europe on North American server?

Is the ping still high when playing from Europe on North American server?

I'm thinking about buying a char and there are much more chars to choose from on NA servers than European but I don't know if I will be able to play there if ping problem still exist.

Here are some numbers to give you some reference as someone based in the Netherlands:

• Around 60~80 ms on Antica (EU server)
• Around 200~230 ms on Gentebra (BR server)
• Around 130~160 ms on Menera (NA server)

In my personal opinion NA is still playable when playing from Europe but it definitely has some performance impact, specially when playing mages.

yes, ping problem still exist... since the distance is so long, there will be ping issues. you will probably play with at least 200+ ping... but you can get your character on american or south american servers trough bazar, and transfer to an european server that you like.
