Until recently, the soulpiercer was the BiS crossbow for paladins. Nowadays it’s only the third best crossbow in the game, with the second best being the sanguine crossbow, and the best being the grand sanguine crossbow. How do these items compare exactly?

Here are the stats of each of those items:

You see a soulpiercer (Range:6, Atk+9, Hit%+6, distance fighting +4, critical hit chance 10%, critical extra damage +10%, protection death +7%).
Imbuements: (Empty Slot, Empty Slot, Empty Slot).
Classification: 4 Tier: 0.
It can only be wielded properly by paladins of level 400 or higher.
It weighs 40.00 oz.

vs.

You see a sanguine crossbow (Range:6, Atk+10, Hit%+7, distance fighting +4, critical hit chance 10%, critical extra damage +12%, protection fire +6%).
Augments: (Divine Caldera -> Strong Impact).
Imbuements: (Empty Slot, Empty Slot, Empty Slot).
Classification: 4 Tier: 0.
It can only be wielded properly by paladins of level 600 or higher.
It weighs 47.00 oz.

vs.

You see a grand sanguine crossbow (Range:6, Atk+10, Hit%+7, distance fighting +4, critical hit chance 10%, critical extra damage +12%, protection fire +6%).
Augments: (Divine Caldera -> Powerful Impact).
Imbuements: (Empty Slot, Empty Slot, Empty Slot).
Classification: 4 Tier: 0.
It can only be wielded properly by paladins of level 600 or higher.

The difference when upgrading from a soulpiercer to a sanguine crossbow is thus:
  • Atk+1
  • Hit%+1
  • critical extra damage +2
  • protection fire +6%
  • protection death -7%
  • Divine Caldera augment: Strong Impact
  • weight: +7.00 oz.
The difference when upgrading from a sanguine crossbow to a grand sanguine crossbow is:
  • Divine Caldera augment increases from Strong Impact to Powerful Impact
