Is there any event that increases the chance of rust removal?

For example, players often store their ice cubes awaiting for the next The Colours of Magic event in order to sculpt their cubes with a 10x increase in success rate. Is there a similar situation for rust removal?

Sadly, there is not
It's a forgotten item that has to be a little bit boosted somehow.

They should add more armors/legs/shields/helmets to be able to unrust, and maybe also boots.
But yeah, pretty much a forgotten topic.

There are currently no world events which increase the chance of unrusting items.
