I heard that infernal demons kills count towards the demon task in Killing the the Name of....Quest.
Is this true and if so, do any other demons count towards the task?

No, the only demons that counts are infernal demons and regular demons…
This happend because there was a bug when soulwar got implemented and infernal demon counted to the task so cip decided to include them to the task
