I recently filled a backpack with 20x100 stacks of skulls which came to 43,600 cap.

I was wondering if it is possible to make a heavier backpack.

What would be the highest possible weight I could achieve in a single backpack?

To maximize the weight of a single backpack/container, the best method is to fill every slot with the heaviest stackable item, using full stacks of 100 per slot.

Heaviest stackable item

Mysterious Remains is the heaviest stackable item, weighing 120.00 oz each.

So a full slot weighs:

  • 1 slot = 100 × 120.00 = 12,000 cap

Total weight (contents + container weight)

1) Standard Backpack (20 slots, 18.00 oz)

  • Contents: 20 × 12,000 = 240,000 cap

  • Backpack: 18.00 oz

  • TOTAL: 240,018 cap

2) Ghost Backpack (26 slots, 5.00 oz)

  • Contents: 26 × 12,000 = 312,000 cap

  • Backpack: 5.00 oz

  • TOTAL: 312,005 cap

3) 32-slot containers (max capacity examples)

Galthen’s Satchel (32 slots, 10.00 oz)

  • Contents: 32 × 12,000 = 384,000 cap

  • Container: 10.00 oz

  • TOTAL: 384,010 cap

Zaoan Chess Box (32 slots, 38.00 oz)

  • Contents: 32 × 12,000 = 384,000 cap

  • Container: 38.00 oz

  • TOTAL: 384,038 cap

Mucus Plug is also a stackable that has higher cap than Skulls, weighing 85.00 oz each, but it's still less than Mysterious Remains' 120.00 oz per unit.
