How to forge the Refined Stag Shield?

The stag shield should probably only drop from the Court Warlock, but there is a much improved version called Refined Stag Shield, which is described as being covered in silver.

What do I need to refine the shield? Is it enough to have the Stag Shield and the stag shield refinement plans? Or do I need some silver material for the forge? (Perhaps the replica of the falcon circlet)?

To forge a Refined Stag Shield:

Loot a Stag Shield from Court Warlock (same as Oberon with Falcon Shield):

Loot a Stag Shield Refinement Plans from Adlerauge (so far the only confirmed boss to drop it - maybe it works exactly like the Falcon Escutcheon and is dropped by all Bane bosses):

As of now, no one has forged the Refined Stag Shield, because (maybe) it is currently bugged, as we can see Liamas' post on Auditorium saying they will look upon it:


As always, there is a theory which needs a 3rd item just like Falcon Escutcheon, but until Liamas confirm it is a bug or it is intended (needs a 3rd item), I will update my answer.

We will probably see the fix on an upcoming patch, until then, that's the information we have for now.

With today's server save, we have implemented the following fixes and changes:

• We fixed an issue where the refined stag shield could not be forged.

First refined stag shields were created in Refugia as for 14/01/2026.

It's confirmed that you need:
- Stag Shield (no imbuement)
- Stag Shielf refiment plans
- Falcon circlet - silver carat replica

The whole process is being done in a small room below Clavius boss (Isle of Ada bastion).
The doors are closed by default, and the source of the key is not confirmed yet - first owner of the shield did not want to share how he obtained the key, but it's possible to get somewhere around the Isle.

When being inside of the room and having all the items required you have to use the shield on the anvil - this way you will receive your very own refined stag shield. Keep in mind, that the falcon circlet is not being consumed in the process, but the Stag shield refinement plans are taken away from you.
