Most people say it's royal paladin but I disagree. I saw an elite knight with sick profit, what do you think?

If you consider 'high levels' as the more endgame levels, the hunting grounds become mostly similar. So to your question, I believe it depends a lot on your playstyle.

I feel the major difference is whether you prefer hunting solo or with a team. RP is more flexible when hunting solo, using diamonds+AOE runes+caldera to defeat stronger hordes of monsters for more loot. EK will do better blocking for a team, which means the loot is divided but with higher chances of very rare and profitable loot.

I would say that the best way to profit is hunting in group. All vocation can  do good profit solo, though at different places.

High lvls use to hunt Plague seal or Jugger seal for money and Library for XP.

Talking about regular solo hunt, the paladins always is better, more if you can make your arrows (Less waste), remember you can make more aoe damage and heal yourself with regular spells and not potions.

I think the best point to reduce the waste are make your arrows and use the right set and imbuements to the place you gonna hunt. Remember you cant compare the profit in Knight and team with solo Paladin.

Let's say about solo hunting only. Ek's have a very expensive healing. it costs 650gp to heal yourself 1000 health points and you'll always face 8 monsters fully hiting you.

Mages can mitigate damage by running around but have a high chance of dying. The supplies are not so expensive also.

Paladins can run monsters or tank and have a really cheap attack (diamond arrows). People on my server pays 10k for 100 arrows (100gp for each hit + runes). Paladins are able to heal more than ek ( healing spell + potion) and by hiting more monsters they'll steal more mana / health points.

That's why people say RP have better profits. Their supplies are cheaper than other classes and they have less risk of dying than mages.
