How to make the skull tile teleporters in flimsys work?

So I have completed feaster of souls quest and have the outfit.
But about 80% of the teleports in the flimsy areas don't seem to work for me.
Like the floor with vertical river separating east and west.
I get on the tile, nothing happens.
What am I missing?

Have you killed the bosses Unaz the Mean, Irgix the Flimsy, and Vok the Freakish? Or have you bought the Skull Coins from the market?

If you haven't killed the bosses, do so, in that order. Let me know if it works.

@raven- Im okay with you posting all ways to get the skull tile teleporters to work for reference for other users incase they don't know of all the steps! Or issues that might be happening. Whatever is easiest for you. (Im not familiar with this quest so don't know if that's too much trouble)

@shawtay: To be honest, I did this quest many years ago. As far as I remember, I gained access to the teleportals by killing the bosses I mentioned, and after completing the quest.
Since it's possible to "skip" the mission of killing the bosses by buying skull coins in the market, I imagined that maybe that's why he can't use the portals. But since I'm not sure if this is the solution, I thought it best to just post it as a comment.
