Compared to other hunting areas on the Mainland, I'd like to know if it's really worth leveling up to level 20 in Targuna. Is it faster to level up there? Or is it still better to level up in other areas?

Comparisons with other areas, in terms of XP/hour, are welcome.

Waste isn't a problem, it doesn't need to be taken into consideration. And the vocation can be any one.

I've leveled up there from 10 to 22 in almost 2 hours of stamina. I don't know if it's a top tier place to get levels as I'm not an expert in leveling up like those who rush levels like crazy, but it does seem as a good spot to hunt and get a good profit on low levels as the NPC items that drops from the monsters can be sold decently for 90-160 gold each.

@faulklls Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you need to train skills on your character to level up there?

Well, my Druid was already with 50 ML and was one-shotting the creatures with exori flam/frigo etc. They are not that hard to kill. I don't know if a low skill EK/RP/Monk will have problems there, but I think it's easy and won't be that much of a problem.

I tested today creating a Knight from the scratch and he did fine. It took like 4-6 hits to kill each mob, but he got to lvl 15 in about 1 hour. Doing the quest helps with experience and leveling, not to mention the easy mount giving +10 speed. He also could kill the boss Herald of Fire in 3-5 minutes.

I've only done it with sorcerers (with no ML), but I found it really good, got to lvl 15 in about 40min. That was after killing the bosses in Newhaven and upgrading the wand. The loot is good and you cal sell it on the island which is a plus. As a mage, the good thing for me, comparing to other locations, is avoiding quick deaths caused by stronger monsters, as the island is pretty balanced for lower lvls.
The only other option I think its better is doing tasks for the paw and fur society, as you get xp for delivering and can start with crocodiles.

In Tibia, whether it is worth staying in Targuna up to level 20 depends mostly on how fast your progress feels there and what spawns are available.

In general, if Targuna is a low-level or starter-type hunting area, it is usually fine but not optimal to stay until level 20. Early zones in Tibia tend to have:

  • Lower experience per hour compared to mainland hunting spots
  • Limited loot variety and weaker creature selection
  • Slower skill progression once you reach mid-teens

Most players typically leave beginner areas earlier (often around level 8–15, depending on gear and confidence) and move to mainland spawns like rotworms, minotaurs, or similar efficient hunts.

So, staying until level 20 in Targuna is safe and easy, but you will usually level faster by transitioning to stronger hunting grounds once you can handle them comfortably.
