According to TibiaWiki BR, there are 4 stages to The Mummy's Curse World Change (aka Horestis' World Change)

1st stage: "Horestis near Ankrahmun is slumbering in his tomb. I wouldn't disrupt his sleep if I were you - this might be better for us all. Seriously."

2nd stage: "The great Pharaoh Horestis near Ankrahmun has risen from his slumber to crush all intruders."

3rd stage: "Horestis's body has been desecrated. His curse now hangs over Ankrahmun like the shadow of the vulture and his tomb is almost empty."

4th stage: "Horestis's body has been desecrated. By now, his curse has ended though. His minions are recovering slowly."

What type of creatures can I find on each floor in each of these 4 stages? Do creatures change only after the next server save or as soon as a certain stage is active?

Horestis' World Change: Stages and Creature Mechanics

The Horestis World Change (The Mummy's Curse) is one of the more dynamic events in Tibia. Depending on the stage your server is in, both the tomb and the surrounding desert of Ankrahmun will change significantly.

Creature Spawns by Stage

StageFloors -1, -2, & -3 (Upper Tomb)Floor -4 (Deepest Floor)Ankrahmun Surface (Desert)
Stage 1: SlumberingStandard Spawns: Mummies, Ghouls, Stalkers, Stone Golems, Gargoyles, and Crypt Shamblers.NPC Horestis: He is sleeping. No hostile creatures.Normal desert creatures.
Stage 2: AwakenedStandard Spawns: Same as Stage 1.Boss Fight: After 5 jars are broken, Horestis spawns with his Honour Guards.Normal desert creatures.
Stage 3: DesecratedEmpty: The tomb is almost entirely devoid of life.Empty.The Curse: Large amounts of Mummies and Sand Crawlersappear outside the city.
Stage 4: RecoveryGradual Return: Standard tomb creatures begin to reappear, though often at lower densities.Empty.Curse ends; desert returns to normal.

Timing: Server Save vs. Immediate Change

One of the most frequent questions is whether you need to wait for the daily reset. The answer is mixed:

  • Stage Transitions (Immediate): The shift between stages happens dynamically throughout the day. If players break the 5th "Canopic Jar" (and it doesn't break back), the server enters Stage 2 immediately. Once the Boss is defeated, the server enters Stage 3.

  • The Boss & The Curse: These are immediate. Horestis spawns as soon as the jars are broken. The Mummies and Sand Crawlers appear on the surface shortly after the boss is killed.

  • Tomb Population: While the status changes immediately, the total clearing of monsters (in Stage 3) or the full repopulation (in Stage 4) is most stable and noticeable after the following Server Save.

Note: If you are aiming to loot the Scorpion Sceptre, you must monitor the World Board. Once the status hits Stage 3, the boss is gone until the next cycle resets
