Considering the following base damage values for the spells:
- Great Fire Wave – 100
- Energy Wave – 150
- Great Energy Beam – 170
- Great Death Beam – 170
- Death Echo – 85
- Hell's Core – 250
Based on the tests I've recently done with an MS 845, I have the impression that if we want to focus exclusively on spell usage and maximize our damage output, we should prioritize Beam Mastery. This would allow us to maintain a 100% Energy/Death rotation.
Given all of the above, my understanding is:
- When using Fire Stance, we need to cast Great Fire Wave and two non-Fire spells. In this scenario, the non-Fire options are typically Energy Wave and Great Energy Beam, both of which have higher base damage than Great Fire Wave.
- When using Energy Stance, we use Great Fire Wave between the Energy spells, so the previous situation more or less repeats itself.
- When using Death Stance, we use Energy Wave between Great Death Beam and Death Echo.
This is not a definitive answer (only 3 days of testing), so feel free to point out anything that sounds incorrect.
