Are the Knight's new defensive spells effective in PvP?

With the 2026 Vocation rebalance, two new defensive spells were introduced for knights. Both Shield Bash and Shield Slam provide damage reduction from the target's next auto-attack.

My question is, does the auto-attack damage reduction portion of the spell also function in PvP situations and reduce the damage of an enemy player's auto attack?
