I saw a house in antica where someone was using 2 beds to make a makeshift counter for their dice game. If you put down a bed and put one of your characters in it, it can not be moved and the person in the bed cannot be kicked except by the house owner. This makes a makeshift wall that people can throw stuff over but not get passed. Is this concidered a bug or just a neat trick that is part of the game?

If this isn't a bug is it a full proof way to make any house into a shop house?

In my opinion is not a bug. You can now freely arrange any beds in your home. It sounds resonable -  beds are unmovable if someone sleep there. People found the way to use beds in other way and create casinos or shops. It gave for us more possibilities in game. Remember that, each building still has an individual bed limit however, so you can only put a certain amount of beds in them (If your house has too many square meters and only one bed you will not be able to block the entrance).
