Do I have to kill the mini bosses before the first dragon every year?

So for the first dragon quest if you did it last year for example do you have to kill the mini bosses again this year (kalyassa etc) to gain access to kill the first dragon again? Or can you automatically go?

No, its enough when you kill it once in the previous years. You can pass the gates already if you've completed it before.
