I'm sure they would start with the tutorial and Dawnport which will give them a basic idea on how to play Tibia. What I also recommend is you expressing to them the importance of reading the Tibia manual and rules. It would be a good idea for them to know about the helpful fansites we have and the importance of securing the safety of their account by following the security hints.

A tool I think is great for beginners is the Client Help button in-game, it's the question mark icon shown as an action button on the right of the Tibia screen. Also, the compendium button that's displayed as a fanfare or trumpet looking instrument. You can read all about content, features, updates, how to get support and also other useful information. Please note if you hover over the action buttons it will tell you exactly what they are or you can open them all to find what one suits you.

  • Make sure new players are aware of other chat channels like World or English chat as this is a great form of communication. Or if they need help possibly the help channel.
  • What you should show new players in Tibia would be how to make friends, maybe invite them to join your guild so they get a sense of how well communities are in the game.
  • A good idea is to go hunting with them on a similar level character as them so they can see teamwork and how beneficial it can be. I'd recommend simple things similar to what was in Dawnport for starters like the classic trolls in Thais! When their a higher level you can go to Dragons I like the single spawn near Dwarven Bridge.
  • Go questing together, some good beginner classics is always the 10k quest and the Amazon Camp quests in my eyes.
  • Help them invest in their future if you want to offer them a set or provide the mony.
  • Show them the outfits and mounts you have and how you obtained them. Maybe they want to look a little snazzier and it will motivate them by having a goal. Perhaps you can help them obtain a simple mount like a Donkey, Warbear, etc. Or a beginner outfit like the Citizen outfit. They can check out fansites on other outfits and mounts to see which one they want to shoot for!

I think bottom line is everyone has a different gaming style. Does this new player want to be a roleplayer or top level in a couple of years? What goals do they have for themselves? I know in the past I was moreso a roleplayer who was always in English chat now my goals are to level and do hunting task. Tibia has so much to offer and everyone has something they focus on so it's important to find your calling!
