Could you ever fish from house gardens in Tibia?

I (maybe incorrectly) remember being able to fish from private house gardens on Nova. Am I wrong?

If you try to fish from inside a protection zone your fishing skill wont increase and you wont pick any fish you can found about it in tibiawiki, on fishing session =), so even if you can use the fishing rod dont have any use fish from inside the house

Yes you could. I used to own Greenshore Village Villa, and would fish there. I believe it was removed as some players would leave a macro on overnight to fish.
