Can Devourer Core be used even if you don't have a cooldown on World Devourer?

Can you accidently destroy a Devourer Core if you happen to missclick on it even though you don't have a cooldown on World Devourer, or haven't even done the quest?

Yes, you can I accidentally used if after bought it because I was thinking it would change after sad.

The Devourer Core doesn't have any kind of restriction to be used.

Yes, I was super sure that it were change I even try next time I kill the boss and use it on the dead corpse HAHAHA but it doesnt change :(
