I see this so much. Why do people not just call it "items". Even if you google for iten it won't show any relation to the word "item". Enlighten me please. This has bugged me for years already.

why in latins languages portuguese, spanish when you change some words to the plural form, you change the m for n and acress the s in front, so item go to itens.

That actually makes sense, but they use it for singular as well and change it from "item" to "iten". How does that make any sense then?

Well not all portuguese speakers players know how to write right so you can see some mistakes sometimes...

I dont know about portugues, but in spanish plural doesn't change from m to n....

The confussion of somepeople when they say this word or even write it, is because there are not many 'latin' words, or at least spanish words, ending in 'm', so I guess its easier to remember or to pronunciate it with an 'n'.
