How helpful is the Eldritch Tome for hunting?

The latest equipment implemented in the game, some spellbooks provide the ability of the magic shield: The Eldritch tome has +80 and 8%. Is it worth using the tome for hunting or just bosses? Or should I just continue with the same spellbook which is the Umbral master spellbook?

In general cases the Magic Shield takes the equivalent of 30-35% of the total mana pool. 8% is good but I see it more useful on bosses when you are a low level, by example if you go to the Soul War quest with a level 400 mage.
