Can I tame a gryphon with quest fully done but with items bought or borrowed?

I bought a char with the Citizen of Issavi outfit (which means it has completed Kilmaresh quest) but it doesn't have the gryphon mount. I do not have the gryphon mask nor the regalia of suon. Can I borrow/buy this 2 items and tame the gryphon succesfully?

 but it was asked to a Community Manager either in test server or in the thread from the update.

Yes, as long as you know for sure that the char finished that quest you can buy another item and the mask to tame the gryph (after completing quest all the parts of regalia of suon drop from Urmalulu so another hint you can get a second tame item)

you have to have made the taming item at least once at npc in order to tame the mount.
