I was bidding on a character auction and instantaneously, the bid would be one coin higher than what I entered. It was before my page could even load and I have plenty fast internet. It seemed impossibly fast that someone could do this manually. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it possibly someone cheating with software to guarantee they win the bid?

It is possible for someone to set their max bid on a character. For example if a character is listed for sale at 100 TC and they bid 1000 TC the current bid will be 100 TC. If you come along and bid 200 TC the original bidder will have their bid auto increased to 201. If you bid 500 TC their bid will be increased to 501 TC, etc. There is no way to know the max bid someone else has submitted but that is why you are seeing increases so fast.

Oh man that’s quite a bummer they don’t display the current highest bid so that you know what number to beat. Very unfortunate. Thank you so much for the clarification though, now I know for the future.

They dont show the max bid to prevent other rise up the price. By example you want a character (Same with the houses) and you put max bid of 100k TC, if I see it I probably just to trolling you gonna made offer of 99k TC, so even if I dont wont the character you gonna pay the 99k +1 because you max bid is 100k TC.
