Magic Sword aka Sword of Valor or SoV, the old attribute was 50/40.

Giant Sword was 50/18.

Knight legs were arm 9.

The def value of Mastermind Shield was 40, Great shield was 42, blessed shield was 50.

Golden Helmet was arm 13, magic plate armor was arm 18.

However, demon helmet was Arm 7, and it boosted to arm 10.

Edit: Thanks FPoPP for giving suggestion to improve the question title.

I believe that it should be the first mass change of items attributes... Isn't this the same patch where powerful items turned into Chain Armors and Swords?

If I am wrong, I will delete the word "first", but I can bet that this was the very first patch where Cipsoft cared about a renewal of item balance.

No it wasn't the same patch.
The patch you meant was
Fire Sword > Sword
Mastermind Shield > Steel Shield
Golden Helmet > Steel Helmet/Chain Helmet (I have forgotten)
Magic Plate Armor > Chain Armor

Interesting. Somehow in my mind I believed that both attributes and item rarity was adjusted right at the same time. Said that, we can make it a question either about which was the first mass change of items attributes if you want, but I will delete the word "first" and leave to you to decide.

Hey Core, that's a good question!

I don't recall ever seeing an official statement by CipSoft talking about changes on item stats around that time. Looking for it again didn't result in any findings. However, I was able to find a good estimation for when it happened by using the archived pages of World of Tibia (WoT). Here's what I was able to find.

All the menioned items, except by the demon helmet, still had their old stats on August 14~27, 2002 in WoT. The new stats were already there on November 4~15, 2002. Therefore, it is safe to infer that all of these items had their stats changed on the same update. The gap between the archived pages leave us with two possible game updates: 7.0 (August 28) and 7.01 (October 22). Since Update 7.01 was just a minor update, it is unlikely that it was used by the devs to balance item stats. Thus, it is safe to assume the changes happened on Update 7.0 when the new client was launched.

ItemStat ChangeOld Stats DateNew Stats Date
Magic Sword50/35 ➤ 48/35August 27, 2002November 15, 2002
Giant Sword50/20 ➤ 46/22August 15, 2002November 10, 2002
Knight Legs9 ➤ 8August 15, 2002November 04, 2002
Mastermind Shield40 ➤ 37August 14, 2002November 04, 2002
Great Shield42 ➤ 38August 27, 2002November 04, 2002
Blessed Shield50 ➤ 45August 21, 2002November 04, 2002
Golden Helmet13 ➤ 12August 14, 2002November 04, 2002
Magic Plate Armor18 ➤ 17August 14, 2002November 04, 2002
Demon Helmet7 ➤ 10December 17, 2003February 29, 2004

Regarding Demon Helmet, in WoT its armor value was changed from 7 to 10 between December 17, 2003 and February 29, 2004. The only update that took place between these dates is 7.21. This was a system update which is unlikely to have changed any item stat. Since the last archived page with the old stat is from one day after the quest system had been implemented (Update 7.2), it is likely that the fansite staff didn't had enough time to notice the change and to update the fansite. So, we can assume that when the Demon Helmet was made obtainable it already had its current armor value (10). However, since there was no way to obtain it before 7.2, we can't say for sure that it wasn't changed on 7.0 with the rest of the mentioned items (or on any other update prior to 7.2).

Before the new quest system was introduced in the 2003 holiday update, there were 128 Swords of Valor on Antica. This was counted on The Burg Waldeck-Convention 2003. Most of these swords were dubbed, importantly Annihilator Quest itself appeared in the game only at the beginning of 2004. Then there could be a mass exchange of items as well as changes in value. Blessed Shield was added to the game in version 5.1 and could enjoy stats of 50def.

There were many client versions prior to 6.0 but records were not maintained of this time so all changes from the very creation of Tibia up to 6.0 is considered "Pre-6.0". Since it was introduced in 1997, Tibia has undergone several changes. Each of these updates brings improvements to the game, such as better graphics, new Items, new Creatures , and new or changed abilities. Why do some of the updates listed not have version numbers? According to CipSoft GmbH Customer Service, version numbers are only given if the client is changed and a new client download is required. Any updates that can be done at the server alone do not get version numbers..

Well, you have spoken a lot, but not sticking to the question.
And I am sure the nerf I have mentioned is after Version 6.
I just don't know if CipSoft intentionally deletes the news ticker/announcement.
And actually, can you understand my question?
